Baseball:
On April 13, Wildwood hosted Cumberland Regional and won, 12-2. Winning pitcher Brendan Bean struck out eight and had two RBIs for the Warriors. Middle Township hosted rival Lower Cape May and won, 1-0. The Panthers’ lone run was scored in the bottom of the second inning. Wildwood Catholic hosted Bridgeton and won, 9-4. Winning pitcher Matt Sharkey struck out ten for the Crusaders.
On April 14, Cape May Tech won 6-5 over rival Lower Cape May. Winning pitcher Hunter Tomlin had three strike-outs for the visiting Hawks. Wildwood hosted Gloucester City and won, 15-5. Chris Mormile went three for three and scored two runs for the Warriors. Ocean City hosted Vineland and won, 11-0. Winning pitcher Sean Mooney pitched a no hitter for the Red Raiders. Middle Township won 16-0 on the road at Pleasantville. Winning pitcher Noah Butterfield had seven strike-outs for the Panthers. Wildwood Catholic fell 14-4 to Atlantic County Institute of Technology.
On April 15, Cape May Tech won 8-2 over Atlantic County Institute of Technology. Winning pitcher Carson Denham had five strike-outs for the Hawks. Lower Cape May won 17-2 on the road at Pleasantville. Ocean City won 10-1 over host Oakcrest.
Softball:
On April 13, Middle Township won 4-1 over Lower Cape May. Winning pitcher Lacey Abrego struck-out three, had an RBI and scored a run for the Panthers. Karli Lafferty had an RBI for the Caper Tigers. Ocean City won 15-5 over Holy Spirit. Lindsay Konick had a triple, two-runs and three RBIs for the Red Raiders. Wildwood fell to Woodstown, 10-0.
On April 14, Lower Cape May won 18-6 at rival Cape May Tech. The Caper Tigers scored ten runs in the top of the fifth inning. Middle Township hosted Pleasantville and won, 16-2. Maddie Ellis earned her 100th career hit in the Panthers’ win. Wildwood Catholic won 22-1 on the road at Bridgeton. The Crusaders scored ten runs in the top of the first inning. Ocean City fell 7-1 to host Vineland.
On April 15, Lower Cape May hosted Pleasantville and won 24-0. The Caper Tigers scored eleven runs in the first inning. Middle Township won 12-1 on the road at Our Lady of Mercy Academy. Winning pitcher Sam Grassi had four strike-outs for the Panthers. Ocean City won 13-0 at Oakcrest. Rachel Ziedes had a double and two RBIs for the Red Raiders. Cape May Tech fell at home to Atlantic County Institute of Technology, 12-0. Wildwood fell 15-0 on the road at Gloucester.
Boys Lacrosse:
On April 13, Ocean City hosted Vineland and won, 17-0. Tommy Meehan had three goals for the Red Raiders while goalies Mark Kolmer and Austin Green combined for the shutout. Lower Cape May won on the road at Holy Spirit, 17-8. Jarryd Hill led the Caper Tigers with four goals and James Cella had nine saves. Middle Township fell to host Oakcrest, 15-11. Tommy Williams and Gio Beradis led the Panthers with three goals each.
On April 15, Lower Cape May hosted rival Middle Township and won, 12-9. Cole Blackley led the Caper Tigers with five goals and James Cella had thirteen saves. Dimitri Terenik led the Panthers with three goals. Ocean City hosted Mainland and won, 10-5. Tommy Cusack led the Red Raiders with four goals and Mark Kolmer had twenty-two saves.
Girls Lacrosse:
On April 13, Lower Cape May hosted Holy Spirit and won, 18-4. Devon Blackley and Ashley Hunt led the Caper Tigers with six goals apiece. Middle Township hosted Oakcrest and won, 21-4. Bridget Ruskey led the Panthers with ten goals. Ocean City won 17-9 on the road at Millville. Three Red Raiders led the way with four goals apiece.
On April 15, Middle Township hosted rival Lower Cape May and won, 16-4. Allison Hunter led the Panthers with five goals. Devon Blackley led the Caper Tigers with three goals.
On April 16, Ocean City hosted Cherry Hill East and won, 21-11. Lexie Sharp and Alex DiMarino each scored five goals for the Red Raiders.
Golf:
On April 13, Lower Cape May won 187-196 to rival host Cape May Tech.
On April 14, Wildwood Catholic won 190-232 over Bridgeton. Middle Township won 175-203 over Buena Reional. Ocean City fell 166-180 to Mainland regional. Wildwood fell 189-242 to Pitman.
On April 15, Lower Cape May hosted Buena Regional and won, 178-200. Ocean City won 174-216 against host Vineland.
Boys Tennis:
On April 13, Ocean City hosted Abesgami and won, 4-1. Lower Cape May won 3-2 on the road at Cedar Creek. Middle Township won 5-0 over Holy Spirit. Wildwood Catholic fell to host Oakcrest, 5-0.
On April 14, Middle Township won 3-2 over Vineland. Lower Cape May won 3-2 over Oakcrest. Ocean City won 4-1 over Millville. Wildwood fell 5-0 to Highland Regional.
On April 15, Lower Cape May won 5-0 over rival host Wildwood Catholic. Middle Township won 4-1 against Bridgeton. Ocean City fell 3-2 against Vineland. Wildwood fell 5-0 on the road at Gloucester Catholic.
Track & Field:
On April 13, Lower Cape May girls fell 75-65 to Buena Regional and 78-62 to Oakcrest. Quinn Bithell placed first in four events for the Caper Tigers. The Lower Cape May boys fell 103-28 to Buena Regional.
Cape May – Governor Murphy says he doesn't know anything about the drones and doesn't know what they are doing but he does know that they are not dangerous. Does anyone feel better now?
