SWAINTON – Members of the Cape May County 4-H Youth Development Program are seeking tournament players for their eighth annual golf tournament fundraiser, Sunday, April 17, at the Avalon Golf Club, in Swainton.
Donations of sponsorship dollars and door prizes are also being sought.
Tournament entry fees are $100 per person or $385 per foursome. The entry fee includes green fees, carts, registration gifts, door prizes, and an Italian buffet dinner. The tournament features Longest Drive, Closest to Pin, and Putting Contests as well as a Hole-in-One car sponsored by Kindle Ford. Tournament registration begins at 10:30 a.m. with the shotgun kickoff at 12:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top three tournament teams and the top coed team.
Proceeds from the tournament are used to fund the 4-H Memorial Scholarship Program, youth participation in state and national 4-H events and other 4-H educational costs. Proceeds from the tournament have contributed $10,000 to the scholarship program in the last six years. With these funds, 17 college scholarships have been provided to Cape May County 4-H youth.

The 4-H Youth Development Program is part of Rutgers Cooperative Extension. 4-H educational programs are offered to all youth, grades K-13, on an age-appropriate basis, without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, or disability.
