SWAINTON — The first in a series of free acting classes offered at Leaming’s Run Gardens in Swainton will be held on Fri., Sept. 24 at 6 p.m. at Leaming’s Run Gardens on Route 9, one mile north of Avalon Blvd .(Parkway Exit 13).
“Ghoul School” will teach the basics of Haunt Acting to anyone interested in learning techniques of successful scaring.
Instructors Missie Aprill and Anthony Canzano have over 20 years of experience in the haunted attraction industry. Aprill is the owner/operator of Screaming’s Run Haunted Walk and Anthony is a Certified Dark Ride Specialist.
Ghoul School classes will teach the S.C.A.A.R.E. technique of Haunt Acting, including timing and delivery, confidence, and character building.
This fun-filled class will include opportunities to practice skills during a walk through of Screaming’s Run Haunted Walk.
Ghoul School graduates will have the opportunity for employment at Screaming’s Run Haunted Walk in October. “We have a great core of scare actors on our Boo Crew, and we’re always hoping to add more talent,” says Aprill.
“I’m looking for enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. You don’t have to be a great actor when you show up at Ghoul School. It’s our job to help you become a great haunt actor by the time you complete our classes.”
