Fourth High Tides Striper Tourney Set

CAPE MAY — Carpenters Union Local 1743 will host the High Tides Striper Tournament for the benefit of the Brendan Borek High Tides Memorial Fund, a Pediatric Cancer Fund, on Sat. Nov. 6, at Off The Hook Bait and Tackle, Hinch Marina, 989 Ocean Drive, Cape May.
This will be the fourth installment of the annual event. Prize money is guaranteed and not dependent on the number of boats fishing.
The non-mandatory Captains’ Meeting will be held on Fri. Nov. 5, 7 p.m. at Hinch Marina. Free hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will accompany this meeting.
A $50 entry fee allows anglers to fish the tournament and enjoy dinner with a cash bar at the awards ceremony. The awards and dinner will take place at the Cape May VFW located at 419 Congress Street, Cape May.
Tickets for non-fishing participants can be purchased at the door for $25.
Scales will open at 3 p.m and close at 5 p.m. on the 6th.
Prize Money will be $3,000 for first place; $1,000 second; $500 third; $400 fourth and $300 for fifth place.
