Davies Sports Complex Hosts New Activities

COURT HOUSE – New recreational opportunities and some long time favorites arrive at the Clarence Davies Sports Complex in Middle Township during the month of March. The Davies Complex is located at 626 Goshen Road in Cape May Court House.
One of the new activities being offered at the Davies Complex in March is a brand new Sunday Jam Session that begins March 9. Local musicians are encouraged to bring their guitars and other musical equipment and jam out together. Free beginner guitar lessons will be offered for children and adults. The Sunday Jam Session will run from 3:00-4:30 p.m. every Sunday.
The Davies Complex has many recreational opportunities for children of all ages. Tot Time returns March 5 and provides toddlers with the chance to burn off energy and play in the gym, enjoy fun crafts and a light snack. Tot Time is held Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and costs $2.00. March Madness basketball registration is underway for children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade. The March Madness season begins in the middle of March and is held on Saturday mornings. Registrations are $15.00 and are currently being accepted at the Davies Sports Complex and the Martin Luther King Jr. Center. Spring track and field registrations are currently underway for children between the ages of five and 14 years of age. The fee is $45.00 and registrations are accepted at both the Davies Complex and the King Center.
Families are encouraged to visit the Davies Complex Sundays starting on March 9 for family fun and activities, including ping pong and board games. Family Fun Days will be held Sundays between 12:30-3:00 p.m.
Another new activity at the Davies Complex is Middle School Night with fun, challenging games of volleyball and dodge ball for 6th-8th grade students. Middle School Night is held Fridays from 6:00-8:00 p.m., and is free. And, the spring men’s open basketball night begins March 5th on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-9:00 p.m.
Two big fundraisers are coming to support all of the activities at the Middle Township Department of Recreation.
