The U-15 Tidal Waves defeated the Jersey Shore Boca Jr. Union, 3 – 2, in the State Cup in Stone Harbor, March 22. Noelle Johnson scored on an assist from goalie Marissa Giancola. Julia Mapes scored and also assisted on Caitlin McMullen’s goal.
The U-17s advanced in the State Cup on penalty kicks by Frank Tutelian, Aaron King and Joe Fala. Fala scored in regulation time for the 1-1 tie. Goalie Robert Edmunds stopped three opposing penalty kicks to preserve the win.
The U-17s defeated Highland YSC Arsenal, 1-0, in State Cup play. Victor Figueroa scored on a pass from Christian Rafter. Mike Saul and Ray Wilson manned the midfield. Anthony Zampirri recorded the shutout in net.
The U-17 squad also defeated Cherry Hill FC Black Out, 1-0. Victor Figueroa scored on an assist from Jimmy Flukey. Goalies Josh Brook and Anthony Zampirri shared the shutout. Tony Genaro and Zack Thomas excelled on defense.
