U11 Girls White 5 vs. Harrison Heat 1: The U11 girls held the Harrison Heat to just one goal in their 5-1 win on Saturday. Ashley Seigel was outstanding on offense. Tessa Hueber and Alyssa Morrison lead the defense. Goals were scored by Sofia and Olivia Sgrignioli. Kate Grier and Brooke Nabb held off Harrison in goal.
U15 Comets 2 vs. Monroe Twp. YS Lady Braves 1: Jordan Dougherty opened the scoring in the first half finishing off a direct kick from Carly Lashley. Lashley put the Comets ahead for good with a smash past the keeper from outside of the box with ten minute left in the match. Brynn Bock played outstandingly in goal. Isabella Aftanis, Shelby Repici and Molly McGuigan played well defensively. Stephanie Carey and Victoria Hutchison anchored the midfield.
U15 Comets 2 vs. West Morris SC Premier Red Fury 2: Carmen Licata put home a follow up shot in the first half and Taylor Magill scored on a breakaway midway through the second half for the Comets. Leah Shaw and Riley Fisher kept the pressure on offensively. Madelyn Kavanagh, Morgan Adams and Anna Bond controlled play in the midfield. Mia Caso was a stalwart the backline.
Boys
U9 2008 boys blue vs. the Pitman SA Lions: Gavin Ridgeway tallied a goal. Caleb Legerton and Owen Radzieta held down the midfield and Aiden Flanigan was solid in net.
U10 Blue vs. Harrison Gunners: Burke Fitzsimmons, Dante Jackson, Ryan Gibson & Dominick Morerro all scored making it a tough battle for the Gunners. Drake Stefankewicz and Adam Boubache shared keeper duties staying alert and making great saves.
U10 Boys CE White vs. Lumberton Thunder: Cape had a big offensive day with goals by Ryan Davis, Philip Woodrow, Gavin Burns, Jack MacLeod and Colin Jastremski. Joe Berrodin had great day in the net. Ryan MaGrath and Conn or Rowlands kept the back line together.
U10 Boys Yellow vs. Clayton Clippers: Despite the soggy conditions, the Yellow team put on balanced scoring attack lead by Tyler Seaberger with two, while Chase Austin and RJ Blanda chipped in with one each. Cooper Daly and Gaven Andre scored their first goals of the season. Everyone hustled and gave the Clippers all they could handle.
U11 2006 Blue 3 vs. Moorestown Athletic 1: After allowing Moorestown to score, Brent Reidenbach scored to even the game at one with an assist from Chase Adams. Branden Acevedo scored next to take the lead with an assist from Ryan Day. Reidenbach scored again to give Cape Express a two goal cushion.
U11 2006 White 7 vs. Moorestown Arsenal 3: Kai Lindsay scored a goal and had three assists. Jack Del Monte and Evan Schoffler each had two goals. Other goals were scored by Deron Azille, Ed Hirsch, and Dennis Serra. Donnie Nelson was excellent in the midfield. Michael Kosmin and Dennis Serra were solid in goal.
U12 2005 Blue 2 vs. Upper Township Vortex 1: Chase McCray attacked the goal in the first half, scoring with an assist from Branden McGrath. Andrew Nelson dominated the field in the second half, scoring with a feed from John McAllister. Ashton Quinn, Ethan Morford and Trevor Magill ran the offense.
U12 2005 White 4 vs. Deptford Thunder 0: Steven Berrodin, Jimmy Kane, Landon Osmundsen and Evan Merritt each scored for Cape Express. Braden Brojakowski and Taj Turner played strong at midfield. Toby Worster and Jacob Radzieta led the back line. Will Casterline and Archie Lawler combined for another shut out in goal.
U13 2004 5 vs. Medford Strikers SC 2: Anthony Avila scored four goals and Matt Sgrignioli added a fifth goal to overcome a 1-1 half time deadlock. Mid fielders Ryan Dougherty, Miguel Valencia and Riley Haring dominated the midfield play. Outside backs Troy Genaro and Mace Fiorucci stopped the talented Medford forwards, while Ryan Turned was strong between the posts.
U15 02/03 2 vs. Upper Township Tornadoes 3: Cape came out early behind Jordan Pierce’s lone first half goal. Jared Santiago played well at midfield in his first action of the season. The second half saw Cape fall behind, giving up 3 quick goals. Gavin Quinn had a late goal, bringing Cape within one, but time ran out before they could capitalize on heavy offensive pressure. Braiden Scarpa played goal in both halves for Cape.
