U8 2009 vs. MLU Flames: U8G 2009 traveled to MLU Flames and put in amazing effort. Emma Prince and Parker Milstead had great games. Excellent teamwork and defending.
U11 2006 Girls White 0 vs. RV Crush 0: Goalie Tessa Hueber held off the Crush for the 0-0 tie.
Excellent passes from Oliva Harkins and Avaclaire Scales helped Aspen Southard and Ally Jonassaint lead the attack on offense.
U11 Blue 2006 vs. Harrison Heat: The Blue traveled to Harrison Heat and faced their first loss of the season 3-0. Angelina Lorenzo, Grace Repici and Anna Delaney challenged every ball and worked hard. Grace Murphy and Reagan Flickinger stepped up and played net. With plenty of opportunities in the game, the girls will look to improve next week.
U14 2003 Fusion 2 vs. Mantua Mischief 2: On a sweltering Spring Saturday in Stone Harbor the Fusion played a tough game against a tough Mantua team. Both squads fought hard to a 2-2 tie. Ava Southard crushed one in from outside the 18 to put Cape on the board. Ava then made a nice cross to Allie Sutter who was waiting in the middle of the box to touch it in. Delaney Robb played strong in goal.
U14 2003 Fusion 2 vs. Highland Force 2: The Fusion had a rough first half and let Highland go up 2-0 at the break. Coach Hickman’s halftime speech had the girls dig down deep and find some heart. Halfway through the second half Maddie Haring buried a pass from Anna Smith to get the Fusion on the board. A few minutes later, Maddie blasted a free kick from the top left of the 18 to even the score. Despite a relentless offensive press from Cape to end the game, the score held up.
Boys
U10 Yellow vs. Palmyra Riverton Destroyers: The yellow team took the long trip to Palmyra and despite only having one sub and some nagging injuries they put up a great effort led by RJ Blanda with a hat trick. Tyler Seeberger, Miles Stafford, and Gavin Andre also added goals for the yellow team.
U12 2005 Boys White 7 vs. GPS NJ South 2: Cape came out on fire scoring 4 goals in the first half and 3 goals in the second half. Jimmy Kane and Jacob Radzieta netted two goals apiece. Steven Berrodin, Jerome Licata and Evan Merritt each scored a goal. Landon Osmundsen had three assists. Toby Worster and Taj Turner were solid on defense. Will Casterline was awesome in net stopping several hard shots.
U13 2004 2 vs. South Harrison Sonics 1: The Union Boys kept their South Jersey win streak going with gutsy goaltending and great defense. Matt Sgrignioli broke through with a first half goal. Defender Tom Carr doubled the lead with a free kick strike to start the second half. Union’s defense lead by Austin Carr, Mace Fiorucci and Chile Adams conceded their first goal in three games off a Sonic free kick. Goalie Ryan Turner saved a point blank shot and a penalty kick with five minutes remaining to preserve the lead.
