U9 Showstoppers vs. Harrison Heat: CE Showstoppers took on Harrison Heat. Sianna King and Maeve Farrell were exceptional on the ball. Bella Lund had the lone goal. Nola Quinn, Reagan Flickinger, and Maeve Farrell were incredible in net.
Showstoppers vs. Hamilton Wildcats: CE Showstoppers battled with Hamilton Wildcats in a great game. Carmen O’Hara brought the energy and sparked outstanding performances among Sianna King, Grace Repici, and Bella Lund. All amazing game by all.
U10 Wolfpack vs. Marlton Lightning: Great defense by Tessa Hueber, Cassidy Robb, and Ella Rulon. Awesome job in goal by Ava Vogdes and Ella McCabe. Kate Grier had two assists, to Sofia and Olivia Sgrignioli, for both goals.
U12 Sand Sharks-3 at Upper Township Cyclones-5: A slow start on a rainy Saturday in Petersburg left the Sand Sharks in a 5-1 hole at the half. The second half fared much better as Abby Ridgway scored her second of the game and Shannon Kavanagh scored off a cross by Anna Smith to bring Cape close. The Sand Sharks kept the pressure up but could not find the back of the net. Elaina Nelson did an admirable job stepping into goal with no preparation in the second half after starter Delaney Robb went down.
U13 Comets 2-1 vs. Maple Shade SA Daredevils: Carly Lashley and Chloe Lawler found the back of the net for the Comets. Jordan Dougherty, Taylor Magilll and Morgan Adams supported the offense. Madison Haring and Mia Caso played well on defense.
U14 Herricanes 2 vs. Mantua Storm 1: Kira Sides had a couple of goals in the Herricane win. Lilly Springer had an incredible assist off a cross for the game winner. Laine Burgin and Delany Cluff were back in the line up to help the defense shut Mantua down. Sophia Terenik had another outstanding outing in the net.
Boys
U9 Hammerheads vs Harrison Twp: This was a hard fought battle by both sides. It was tied at 0 at the end of the half. Simon Hardin had a strong game in goal, keeping a clean sheet. In the second half the Hammerheads kept the pressure on, and James Papanikolaou netted the game’s only goal. Noah Stokes and Tighe Olek held down the midfield while Kelan Miller and Donnie Nelson were strong on the defense.
U9 Riptides vs Washington Township Force: The U9 Riptides battled the Washington Twp. Force on a lovely Sunday afternoon. Colin Jastremski scored three goals for the hat trick and David Del Conte chipped in another to the back of the net. Ryan McGrath and Kallen Garagozzo were solid in goal. Chase Adams was outstanding in the midfield.
U11 Hainesport Thunderbolts (3) Cape Express Thunderbolts (5): The team welcomed back Jerome Licata after being injured the majority of the season. Licata didn’t miss a beat with his skills on the field. Steven Berrodin scored two goals along with Brayden Brojakowski, Toby Worster and Landon Osmunden each with one.
U11 Blitz 4 vs. Bordentown SA Bulls-3: Jimmy Kane opened the scoring on an assist from Ryan Dougherty. Drew Nelson scored on a crossing pass from Danial Kotb. Archie Lawler found the back of the net off a corner kick from Jimmy Kane. Ryan scored the game winner on a breakaway. Trevor Magill supported the offense. Santino Lomaas was outstanding in goal.
U13 Force-0 vs. East Greenwich-5: A hard fought first half, led by some solid goal tending by Jimmy Kurtz, and physical play by both TJ. Sarmiento and Justin Lopez, resulted with the Force trailing by a single goal. The second half was spent playing catchup, and the boys never stopped working hard, with Brian Bravo and Scott Fiore leading the effort.
