Wildwood Catholic's Charles Fields competing in the county championships last week

The Cape-Atlantic League Track & Field Championships took place at Bridgeton High School with many local athletes earning medals on May 17.

Boys Results:
Pole Vault: Gary James Nagle of Middle Township placed first.
Long Jump: Rakim Coyle of Wildwood Catholic placed first with teammate Caleb Fields placing third.
Triple Jump: Rakim Coyle of Wildwood Catholic placed first with Liam Bergman of Ocean City placing third.
100-Meter & 200-M Dashes: Charles Fields of Wildwood Catholic placed first in both events.
1600-Meter Run: Will Berger of Lower Cape May placed first.
110-Meter Hurdles: Kevin King of Ocean City placed second.
4×400-Meter Relay: Ocean City placed second with Louis Conte, Sean Zellers, Matt Zelinski, Liam Bergman.
High Jump: Tocci-Rodgers of Ocean City placed third.
Girls Results:
Pole Vault: Abri Bostard of Middle Township placed first.
1600-Meter & 3200-Meter Runs: Alexa Palmieri of Ocean City placed second in both runs.
400-Meter Hurdles: Kate Herlihy of Middle Township placed second.
4×100-Meter Relay: Ocean City placed third with Mackenzie Matura, Sophie Gresham, Amanda Schmid, Allison Wiltshire.
4×800-Meter Relay: Ocean City placed second with Brooke Farr, Emma Sardy, Kelsey White, Nicole Rhodes.
Long Jump: Sophia Gresham of Ocean City placed third.

Tri-County Track & Field Championships: Maddie McCracken of Wildwood placed third in the girls 1600-Meter Run.
