16th Scouting Beach Jam Slated

By Press Release

WILDWOOD — The biannual scouting “jamboree” known as “Beach Jam” that draws thousands of scouts to the Wildwood beaches and boardwalk, returns Sat., Sept. 25 and Sun., Sept. 26 for its 16th year.
“Over the years, our team has really bonded with scouting,” notes Kristel Fillmore, Events and Entertainment manager at Morey’s Piers, “and we work hard to continually provide a fun, meaningful, and unique experience in a safe context.
We travel the region meeting with scouting councils, and we spend months planning every detail. We are constantly looking at ways to improve upon the great Beach Jam formula.”
The fall version of Beach Jam takes place on the beach at Morey’s Piers with the Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop. The all-inclusive scouting package includes:
• Rides and attractions
• Camping on Wildwood’s beach
• A “Swap Tent” for scouts to swap pins, buttons, and crafts
• Live entertainment
• Beach bonfire
• Catered meals
• Free boardwalk tram rides
• New sand castle building contest
To exemplify the spirit of scouting, Beach Jam participants are asked to support the United Way First Call for Help Food Pantry by bringing canned or non-perishable food to Beach Jam.
