Sea Isle City Historical Society To Host A Final Christmas Open House At Their Current Museum

By Press Release

SEA ISLE CITY– On Saturday, December 4, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the Sea Isle City Historical Society will host their annual Christmas Open House inside the Sea Isle City History Museum, 4208 Landis Avenue. The event will include free refreshments and the opportunity for visitors to take-in over a century of local history. Historical society volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and explain the many artifacts on display.
According to Historical Society President Mike Stafford, the Open House will be the last opportunity the public will have to enjoy the museum before it is relocated in 2011.
“By next summer, we will be in our new location inside Sea Isle City’s future library on 48th Street — which will be a wonderful new facility for our museum, for the library and for the public,” said Stafford.
The resort’s history museum is currently housed in a structure that was built in 1914 in downtown Sea Isle City. Over the decades, the building has served as a private residence, a tailor shop and also an appliance annex for Pfeiffer’s General Store, a former Sea Isle City landmark.
For additional information about the Historical Society’s Open House or the museum’s future location, phone (609) 624-7929 or visit www.seaislecityhistoricalsociety.org.
