COURT HOUSE – Shore Veterinarians looks for new and exciting ways to involve their patients as well as other furry friends in the area. The most recent activity for residents included a funny pet photo contest. During this past July and August, Shore Vets asked South Jersey residents to post a funny picture of their beloved pet to the Shore Veterinarians Facebook page. With the surrounding communities from all four locations contributing and voting, each hospital honored a winner. Each winner received six months of flea and tick preventative as well as a $100 gift certificate for services rendered at Shore Veterinarians.
Dr. Nick Holland, co- owner of the animal hospital comments, “We were so happy to see so many people participate in this contest. We had over 30 entries for the contest which far surpassed our expectations. We are looking forward to the next contest coming up soon.”
The contest drew in 35 entries of hilarious pictures. The winning photo from each office will be displayed for everyone to see until the next winner is chosen. Shore Vets Seaville had one picture in particular that the seemed to attract the most attention. Rubix, a fun loving pit-bull/ great dane mix, charmed those who voted for his upside down smile. The picture was submitted by Amy Zeiss Miller, a cousin to owners Gina Miller and Joey Miller from the Villas in Cape May County. Amy could not resist entering Rubix’s puppy photo due to the amusement it brings to her and others. Rubix was adopted at 6 weeks of age after a neighbor’s canine friend had a litter of puppies. With tons of energy, this rambunctious year old puppy thinks he is as small has the Miller’s three children while he runs in circles chasing his tail.
