Much to see, do at Wetlands Institute

Monarch Madness Oct. 3
Enjoy the butterflies that gather in the gardens and along the trail as they travel to Mexico. Monarch Madness is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will focus on these beautiful insects, their amaz-ing journey, tips about gardening to attract Mon-archs, plus face painting, games, crafts, and more for kids and the whole family.
Admission is $4 for members; $7 for non-members.
Aquarium feedings
Help the Wetlands Institute staff feed the fish and terrapins or just watch the turtles chasing minnows and the horseshoe crab gobbling shrimp on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:30 p.m. It’s free with general admission; members are free.
Jersey Cape Writers Group
The Jersey Cape Writers Group, a popular writers’ coaching group with Ken Hoerauf and Lorraine Vail, meets Sept. 29, Oct. 27 and Nov. 24 at 7 p.m.
