WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Congressman Frank A. LoBiondo (NJ-02) was honored by the Humane Society of the United States for his continued support of legislation to protect animals from suffering and abuse throughout 2015. LoBiondo again received the “Legislative Leader Award” for his leadership and scored an 89 on their annual scorecard.
“I have long admired the outstanding work done by the Humane Society of the United States and its local chapters across South Jersey and the country. Their tireless efforts and advocacy on behalf of animals has served as a model for me and, as a true lover of animals and proud owner of two Weimaraners, I am honored to receive this award. I will continue to work with the Humane Society on issues important to their members,” said LoBiondo.
The Humane Society of the United States is the nation’s largest animal protection organization, rated the most effective by its peers. Since 1954, The HSUS has been fighting for the protection of all animals through advocacy, education and hands-on programs.
