TUCKAHOE — On Dec. 25, South Jersey Animal Services was called to investigate a dog killed on New Jersey Avenue here.
The canine was a small, brown, female Terrier mix stabbed to death and dumped in to the woods. The dog was found with medical supplies on it and it is believed that the dog did see someone with veterinary knowledge before it’s death.
The dog was healthy and well maintained. South Jersey Animal Services could not release any pictures of the animal due to its horrific condition.
Investigators suspect that the dog was killed late on Dec. 23 or early on Dec. 24.

Animal Services is looking for anyone with knowledge of what happened to the dog or who have may owned the dog.
It was described as a brown 2-year-old female terrier mix. (American Pit bull Terrier Mix) unspayed. Large White spot on her chest, weighing about 30 pounds.
