OCEAN CITY – A little over a year has gone by since the Ocean City Police Department introduced its newest member, ‘Deuce”, the K-9 patrol dog to the City.
Since that time Deuce and Ptl. John Vogt have been instrumental in making several apprehensions of suspects for crimes in progress.
Deuce has also furthered his training and now is cross-trained in tracking and drug detection.
But that is not all that Deuce and PtL. Vogt do for the city. Deuce frequently attends many city functions as an ambassador for the Police Department and City of Ocean City.
Deuce can be seen frequently at Block Parties, National Night Out, Parades and other City events. Deuce also visits the local schools on a regular basis.
Brad was the winner of the “Name the K-9” contest held in the school system when the Police Department first announced that it would be bringing back the K-9 Unit.
Since that time, Ptl. Vogt and Deuce, frequently visits Brad at his home and school so that they can maintain a close relationship and keep each other up to date on their accomplishments.
