DEPTFORD – The Ocean City High School girls basketball team finished their run in the state basketball tournament on March 9 at Deptford High School.
The Red Raiders faced Central Group III champion Ewing in the Group III state semifinal game and fell, 62-37. These two teams met in the semifinal last year with Ocean City winning in a dramatic one point game.
Savannah Holt and Danielle Donoghue paced the team with eight points each with Emma Finnegan adding seven.
The Red Raiders finished the season at 22-9 overall with the South Jersey Group III title.
