Cape May County Football Results:
In Saturday afternoon action, Ocean City made the short trip down the parkway to Lower Cape May and won, 49-7.
Ocean City quarterback Harry Pfeifle started off the scoring with two touchdowns in the first quarter and added another right before the half. Issac Robertson also had two touchdowns in the first half and one in the third quarter for the Red Raiders. Alex Morales added a touchdown in the third quarter as well.
Lower Cape May quarterback Brennan Ray scored the Caper Tigers only touchdown in the third quarter.
The win marks Ocean City’s fifth straight win to bring their record to 6-1. They will host undefeated St. Joseph this Friday night. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Carey Stadium.
Lower Cape May drops to 1-6 and will be on the road this week at Buena Regional. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. in Buena.
Wildwood (0-7) was on the road this week at Maple Shade and fell, 28-12. Christian Tyson scored both of the Warriors’ touchdowns in the second half. They will return home Friday night to host Clayton (0-7) at 6 p.m. at Maxwell Field.
Middle Township (3-4) returns to action this Friday to host Pleasantville (6-1) at 6 p.m. at Memorial Field.
