NJSIAA Basketball State Tournament: Quarterfinal Results

The Lower Cape May and Wildwood Catholic boys basketball teams will be hosting the semifinal round of their respective groups while both of Ocean City’s basketball teams will look for semifinal road wins.
Here are the results of the quarterfinals:
BOYS:
South Jersey Group I:
– No. 4 Wildwood hosted No. 13 Schalick on Feb. 26 in the first round and won, 80-56. The Warriors hosted No. 5 Paulsboro in the quarterfinals on Feb. 28 and fell, 74-64. They finished the season at 17-10.
S.J. Group II:
– No. 5 Lower Cape May hosted No. 12 Pennsauken Tech on Feb. 27 in the first round and won, 61-34. The Caper Tigers hosted No. 13 Medford Tech in the quarterfinals on March 1 and won, 72-61. They will host No. 9 Barnegat on March 3 in the semifinals.
S.J. Group III:
– No. 3 Ocean City hosted No. 14 Camden Tech on Feb. 26 in the first round and won, 70-44. The Red Raiders hosted No. 11 Winslow Township on Feb. 28 in the quarterfinals and won, 59-54. They will play at No. 2 Seneca on March 2 in the semifinals.
Non-Public South Group B:
– No. 1 Wildwood Catholic hosted No. 16 Moorestown Friends on Feb. 27 in the first round and won, 74-38. The Crusaders hosted No. 9 Immaculata in the quarterfinals on March 1 and won, 72-58. They will host No. 5 Trenton Catholic on March 3 in the semifinals.

GIRLS:

South Jersey Group I:
S.J. Group II:
– No. 6 Middle Township hosted No. 11 West Deptford on Feb. 27 in the first round and won, 43-28. The Lady Panthers traveled to No. 3 Haddonfield on March 1 in the quarterfinals and fell, 43-26. They finished the season at 15-10.
S.J. Group III:
– No. 3 Ocean City hosted No. 14 Toms River South on Feb. 26 in the first round and won, 55-31. The Red Raiders hosted No. 11 Gloucester Tech on Feb. 28 in the quarterfinals and won, 57-22. They will play at No. 2 Winslow on March 2 in the semifinals.
