Middle Boys Lax Earns First Win & More Area Results

COURT HOUSE – The Middle Township boys lacrosse team won 14-1 at home against St. Joseph to earn their first win of the season on April 5.
Senior Gio Berardis led the Panthers with a game-high six goals and three assists. Teammate Chase Deegan added four goals with three assists.
The Panthers move to 1-2 on the season and are scheduled to travel to Point Pleasant Borough on April 7.

In boys lacrosse, Lower Cape May earned their first win of the season, 9-6, at home against Egg Harbor Township on April 4. Chuckie Magill led the Caper Tigers with four goals while Chase Mendyk added three goals. Harrison Clark had 15 saves in net.
In girls lacrosse, Middle Township dominated Egg Harbor Township, 19-3, on the road on April 5. Kira Sides led the team with nine goals and two assists while Aubrey Hunter added five goals. Maddie Barber led the team with seven assists and two goals.
In softball, Wildwood Catholic won 13-2 at Gateway Regional on April 5. Brianna Bailey went 3-for-3 with four RBIs and a home run for the Crusaders. Tahtiyana Camba had eight strikeouts as pitcher.
In boys tennis, Middle Township earned two back-to-back 5-0 wins against Cedar Creek on April 4 and Buena Regional on April 5.
In golf, Wildwood stands at 2-0 on the season so far with a 217-218 win against Bridgeton and a 248-253 win against Penns Grove on April 5.
