Mega Millions Rolls to $449 Million and New Jersey Has One $10,000 Winner

TRENTON – There were no Mega Millions game jackpot or second tier New Jersey prizewinners, but there were seven tickets sold that matched the four white balls and the Gold Mega Ball for the July 1 drawing winning the $5,000 third prize. One of those tickets was purchased with the Megaplier option making it worth $10,000. The winning tickets were purchased at the following locations:
– Monmouth County: Jersey Pride, 642 J. Newman Spring Rd., Lincroft, $10,000 winner;
– Camden County: One Stop Shoppe, 802 Turnersville Rd., Pine Hill;
– Cape May County: Gorman’s Wine & Spirits, 3845 Bayshore Rd., North Cape May;
– Ocean County: Gustosa Gourmet Deli, 1 Plaza Dr., Toms River;
– Passaic County: West Paterson Shell, 1284 McBride Ave., Woodland Park;
– Somerset County: Stop & Shop #877, 553 So. Finley Ave., Basking Ridge; and
– Union County: Breens Liquor, 21 No. Union Ave., Cranford.
In addition, 116 players’ tickets matched the four white balls winning $500 each. Eight of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, making them worth $1,000 each. Moreover, 393,981 other New Jersey players took home $629,003 in prizes ranging from $1 to $100, according to Hedinger.
“Congratulations to the lottery winners and to the retailers that sold all of those winning tickets,” said Hedinger. “For selling the winning tickets, the retailers have become many more Lottery ‘lucky locations’ overnight.” The winning numbers for the Friday, July 1 drawing were: 20, 41, 42, 45 and 49. The Gold Mega Ball was 14, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 02.
The Mega Millions jackpot rolls to $449,000,000 for the next drawing, which will be held July 5 at 11:00 p.m. Powerball and Mega Millions drawings can be seen on WABC TV stations. Mega Millions tickets are sold in 46 participating jurisdictions. Drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays.
