CHERRY HILL – After winning the first three games against Penn Tech, Medford Tech and Barnegat in last week’s South Jersey Group II tournament, the Lower Cape May Regional High School boys basketball team earned a spot in the final game on March 5. This marked the team’s first appearance in the group final since 1988.
The Caper Tigers, ranked fifth in the group, took on second-ranked Haddonfield at Cherry Hill East High School and fell, 63-45. Pat Holden led the Caper Tigers with 19 points in the loss and finished his high school career with 2,103 points.
Lower Cape May finished their tremendous season with a 21-7 overall record.
