What Goes Where in the Kitchen?

kitchen

By Gia Gallone

“A place for everything and everything in its place” is how the saying goes, and we’re here to tell you the best and most convenient places to store your kitchen cookware and dinnerware.
Place dishes and bowls used daily on the lowest shelves in an easy-to-access top cabinet so you can grab them quickly when it’s time to eat!
Store pots, pans and glassware in your bottom cabinets between the sink and stove. You’ll want them lower since they are heavy, and you’ll want them between the sink and stove since those two places are where they will be used most.
The best place for silverware is in a drawer near the dishwasher or drying rack so it’s no hassle to put them away. You will want to keep them out of the primary prep area and near the dishes and bowls if possible so someone can set the table without interrupting the cook.
Keep cooking utensils in a drawer next to the stove so they’re within easy reach while cooking.
Store glasses and mugs on shelves in a top cabinet near the refrigerator so they’re easy to grab when you’re getting a beverage. Place glasses used more frequently at the bottom and fancier glasses used for special occasions at the top.
