Updating the Kitchen — Decisions…Decisions

By Press Release

Consumers desiring to update their kitchen cabinets or renew a fading look are facing many decisions.
When choosing the right cabinets there are several things to consider:
• What is the overall look of the kitchen?
• Do I want a painted or stained finish?
• Do I want an antique look?
• What is my budget?
Answering these types of questions before visiting the store will better prepare the customer for a purchase decision. Keeping in mind the overall look and feel of the kitchen while choosing a finish is key.
There are basic differences in the look.
Painted cabinets are generally used when you don’t want a wood grain finish. The durable finish is easy to clean.
There are many types of wood cabinets to choose offering many tones of stain finishes. Adding a washed look or antique/vintage appearance is a popular choice at the shore.
The hardware, or kitchen jewelry, is an important finishing touch to compliment the cabinetry. The locals in Cape May County generally choose frameless construction because of the ability to mount a cabinet door any which way they desire and the doors move freely and do not stick.
There are many other options you can add to cabinets, such as a dove tail joint to keep a sturdy drawer. Under mount hardware allows for the full use of your drawers whereas the normal side mount hardware takes away space that could have been used.
The kitchen is often the focal point of a home where the family spends most of their time. Whether you are revitalizing your kitchen with a new look or starting from scratch with new construction, creating a gorgeous kitchen can be fun.
