Yes, there’s still time to update your kitchen, bath, and outdoor living space before the holidays. And, let’s face it, everyone is on a budget.
Some are big budgets, and some are small, but everyone sets their spending limits for the holiday season. In these economic times, budgeting is more important than ever, and we like to keep that in mind when getting ready for family, friends and Old St. Nick. Here are a few things to think about when you’re on a smaller budget:
• Adding a new light fixture not only adds a new focal point, but can also brighten up a room.
• If the kitchen or bath cabinets don’t look fantastic on their own, try replacing just the hardware on the doors.
• Adding a simple style of crown molding in any room takes the look to a new level without breaking the budget.
• Add a new coat of paint to a room. A new color scheme can dramatically change the look and feel of a room.
• Define a space by adding an area rug in a contrasting color.
• Replace the countertop on the kitchen island with a ‘remnant’ piece of granite or marble. With a simple edge, it’s a smart way to incorporate natural stone into your environment.
If your budget is somewhat larger there’s still time to install new kitchen appliances, ceramic, porcelain, marble or travertine tile in your bathroom, or a new granite countertop in your kitchen with a new sink and gleaming new faucets. And, if St. Nick is part of your holiday experience, don’t overlook the fireplace. Natural stone like sandstone, travertine, limestone and slate is an excellent choice for the hearth or mantle.
So, if natural stone like marble, granite, travertine or slate will be part of your holiday preparations, let La Terra Stone make your planning a lot easier. New this year is our holiday gift certificates which are available in any denomination.
