Preparing Your Shed for Fall and Beyond

Preparing Your Shed for Fall and Beyond

By Sponsored

Fall is here, which means it’s time to say goodbye to summer supplies and hello to rakes, leaf blowers, holiday décor and before you know it, snow blowers and shovels. Lucky for you, Seashore Sheds is here to help make these tedious seasonal tasks a little easier this year. Nobody likes searching through piles of unorganized clutter to find what you need, which is why it’s time to clean and organize your shed to make your fall and winter tasks a breeze!
First, get clean.
To prepare you shed for the seasons ahead, start with purging unneeded and unwanted items. Get rid of any expired cleaners, old paint and dried up liquids, and be sure to dispose of them properly. Also, say goodbye to any recyclables that have piled up such as books, magazines and old paperwork, all of which attract mold, dirt and pests. If you come across anything in your shed that’s not being used or just not working, sell or donate it. This might include old exercise machines, bikes that are no longer used, broken yard equipment and more. It’s inevitable for stuff like this to pile up over the years; now it’s time to get rid of it and make some much needed space!
Then, get organized.
Use your newfound space to get organized. Arrange your remaining shed components by season, giving each season its own area or shelf. Place spring and summer items such as bikes, beach gear, gardening tools, lawnmowers and backyard accessories toward the back of the shed, and place holiday decorations, rakes, leaf blowers, snow blowers, shovels and ice melt toward the front in easy reach. So, when Mother Nature hits unexpectedly or you suddenly realize Thanksgiving is just a few weeks away, you’ll be prepared to get the tasks at hand done in no time!
Don’t have a shed for all of your seasonal supplies? No problem! Give Seashore Sheds a call at (609) 884-3381, and the staff will be more than happy to help you find your storage solution. Stop by and view what they have to offer at 507 Seashore Rd., Cape May.
