Is Your Home Ready for Fall?

By Sponsored

Another summer season is coming to an end. Fall is fast approaching and along with the season’s great offerings – harvest festivals, Octoberfest, Halloween, Thanksgiving, etc. – comes some home chores that should get some attention. Paul Guglielmi, owner of Window Genie of South Jersey, states, “There are a number of services we offer that will save homeowners money in the long run, as well as make fall and winter more enjoyable.” He cites the following recommendations:
Remove your screens once the last bug is gone. Screen burn, which is the metal from the screen getting baked onto your window’s glass, occurs in the winter. You’ll have a nicer view and save on window cleaning costs in the future.
Fall window cleaning will remove the sap and other particles that have stuck to your windows in spring and summer. A fall cleaning will also give you pristine windows for the holidays and a clear view during the drab winter months.
Gutter cleaning after the leaves have fallen will prevent damage from clogged gutters freezing. This could cause the gutters to come loose, or worse, push water up under the shingles – both of which are much more costly than an inexpensive gutter clean service.
House washes to remove algae growth will inhibit the growth over winter and especially early spring. This saves money by lessening the problem versus waiting until spring when the algae growth is more intense and more costly to remove.
