COURT HOUSE – The Cape May County Library invites the public to attend “Going from Cold to Hot in the Garden” presented by Joe Alvarez on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 7 p.m. The program will take place at the Cape May County Main Library located at 30 E. Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House.
June is a great month for showing off the garden, but June is also the month the garden hits its peak and transitions from cool to warm season plants. Additionally, June is the time of the year when insects come to harvest the gardens as well. Alvarez will teach you how to make your garden transition from cold to hot and protect the vegetable garden as well as the flower garden from pests.
Joseph Alvarez has a Bachelor of Science Degree, is a Board Member of the Cape May National Wildlife Refuge and a Certified Rutgers Master Gardner.
