7 Mile Island Home & Health Show and Designer House Tour Scheduled for August 13

AVALON – Mark your calendar, set a date with your friends, and plan to spend an inspirational day ‘down the shore’ at the 7 Mile Island Home & Health Show and Designer House Tour. The annual event is celebrating its seventh year on 7 Mile Island.
The Designer House Tour, sponsored by Kravet Inc., Bethpage, NY, Glenn Insurance of Absecon, NJ and UBS Financial of Philadelphia, PA, will feature seven designer houses each with warm and intriguing features and exceptional outdoor and indoor living spaces. Local and out-of-town interior designers have created these distinctive and innovative spaces. Here is an exclusive opportunity to experience “shore living” at its best ~ kitchens, luxurious bathrooms, indoor and outdoor rooms that will inspire your imagination. Plan the day with your friends and family and visit each of these beautiful and unique 7 Mile Island homes. The tour begins at 11 am and tickets are only $25. This is a self-directed tour and no shuttle service will be available this year.
The Home Show and Health Show will once again be held at the Avalon Elementary School, 30th and Ocean Drive, Avalon, NJ and runs from 9 am. To 2 pm. The Home Show is sponsored by the Cape Regional Medical Center Medical Staff, and the Health Show sponsored by Burke Motor Group. Come enjoy a day of exhibits pertaining to home and health as well as complimentary health screenings. Admission to the Home & Health Show and all health screenings are free.
Guidebook
The Home and Health Show Guidebook is sponsored by Sturdy Savings Bank and is your “GPS” to all of the day’s events! The Guidebook features advertisements from exhibitors and sponsors and devotes full page layouts to each Designer House. The centerfold features a map pinpointing the location of each home on the tour for ease of navigation along 7 Mile Island. The Guidebook will be published by late July and can be obtained by calling the Cape Regional Medical Center Foundation at 609-463-4040 or stopping by local businesses in Avalon and Stone Harbor as well as each Borough’s Chambers of Commerce.
Ticket Sales
Tickets for the Designer House Tour are available for purchase for $25 per person. Tickets are available for purchase through Friday, August 12, 2011 at the Cape Regional Medical Center Foundation by calling 609-463-4040, Monday – Friday as well as the Avalon Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, August 10 – Friday, August 12.
On Saturday, August 13, 2011, tickets will be available exclusively at the Home & Health Show, Avalon Elementary School, 30th & Ocean Drive, Avalon, NJ – beginning at 9 a.m.

On Saturday August 13, the Home & Health Show sponsored by the Cape Regional Medical Center Medical Staff, Burke Motor Group, Radzieta Funeral Home, Kravet Inc., Glenn Insurance, UBS Financial, and Sturdy Savings Bank will open at 9 am at the Avalon Elementary School. The Designer House Tour begins at 11 am. Outside on the grounds of the Avalon Elementary School is the Rotary Club of Mid Jersey Cape Antique Car Show and old-fashioned summertime barbeque including burgers, hot dogs, chicken and vegetarian burgers, ice cream and beverages.
All proceeds from the 7 Mile Island Home & Health Show and Designer House Tour benefit Cancer Care Services at Cape Regional Medical Center.
