Woodbine Holiday Parade Set for Dec. 18

WOODBINE – Mayor William Pikolycky reminds local residents and neighboring municipalities throughout Cape May County:
Please join in with the Borough of Woodbine in celebrating the upcoming holiday season when on Sun., Dec. 18, the Borough hosts its annual holiday parade, sponsored by the Woodbine Volunteer Fire Company.
The parade route will be the same as previous years, from Bryant Street, south on Washington Ave to Clay Street, east on Clay Street to Heilprin Ave, north on Helprin Ave to DeHirsch Boulevard to the Firehouse.
At that time the live tree on the bikepath will be lit.
Refreshments will be served and trophies awarded at the firehouse after the tree lighting. Woodbine Recreation Commission is assisting with providing the cookies and hot chocolate.
Categories will be: Best Appearing Fire Company, Best Appearing Rescue, Best Float, Best Marching Unit.
Trophies will be awarded to first and second place.
Santa will also be there to visit with the children.
“At the bikepath, I will be joined by Santa Claus to light the Borough Christmas Tree, and then all will be invited inside the Firehouse for refreshments, awards, and a visit with Santa Claus,” noted Mayor Pikolycky. “We hope to see all our residents and neighbors here for what is always a lovely annual event.”
