WILDWOOD CREST — The Wildwood Crest Recreation Department hosted a record crowd at its annual Trunk or Treat Halloween season family event Oct. 30, held in the parking lot of the Crest Pier Recreation Center.
Adults decorated the backs of their vehicles for Halloween and distributed candy to children dressed in Halloween costumes. The event also included a magic show, pumpkin painting, DJ entertainment and more.
Approximately 400 people attended the event, which included 26 decorated vehicles.
Winners of the vehicle-decorating contest were awarded prizes. They included:
First place – Ella and Jessica McCabe, North Wildwood.
Second place – Louise Sandora, Wildwood Crest.
Third place – Reneefay Weber, Joanna Estill and Robert MacBride, Wildwood Crest.
Fourth place – Susan McGee, Wildwood Crest.
Fifth place – Tracy DuFault, Cape May.
The Wildwood Crest Department of Public Works, Police Department and Ambulance Corps also took part in the event.
