By Press Release

WILDWOOD CREST — The Wildwood Crest Recreation Department hosted a record crowd at its annual Trunk or Treat Halloween season family event held Thurs. evening, Oct. 30, in the parking lot of the Crest Pier Recreation Center.
Adults decorated the backs of their vehicles for Halloween and distributed candy to children dressed in Halloween costumes. The event also included a magic show, pumpkin painting, DJ entertainment and more.
New to this year’s event was the inclusion of the Greater Wildwood Hotel-Motel Association’s Halloween Parade, which began at the Wildwoods Convention Center and ended at the Crest Pier during Trunk or Treat.
Approximately 850 people attended the event, which included 19 decorated vehicles as well as vehicles staffed by members of the Wildwood Crest Police Department, the Wildwood Crest Ambulance Corps and the Wildwood Crest Recreation Department.
Winners of the vehicle-decorating contest were awarded prizes. They included:
First place – Heather DelMonte, Wildwood Crest (see attached photo).
Second place – Jen Vogdes, Wildwood Crest (see attached photo).
Third place – Bonnie Wood, North Wildwood.
