Wildwood Christmas Parade: Winners Announced

By Deborah McGuire

WILDWOOD — It had pirates, it had Donald Duck, it had Santa, it had candy tosses, it even had a shark shooting snow at spectators along the parade route. In other words, the Wildwood Christmas parade had something for everyone.
As night fell, fire engines, floats, and cars lined up to make their way from 15th and Central in North Wildwood, through the city, into the Crest and then back to the Wildwoods Convention Center for the highlight of the evening – the lighting of the city’s seven Christmas trees by representatives of the Wildwood Jaycees.
After the lighting, parade-goers were invited inside the Convention Center where they could walk through a winter wonderland of crafters and their wares.
UPDATE – Following the Greater Wildwood Jaycees annual Christmas parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony, trophies were awarded to various categories. The award for best overall was given to the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce. Other winners are listed below.
