Stone Harbor Hosts 2014 Island Holiday

STONE HARBOR – The Elves fill the shelves of Stone Harbor on Friday, Nov. 28 and Saturday, Nov. 29. Stone Harbor rings in the festive holiday season in authentic island style throughout the charming shopping district. Whether you want to get a head start on your holiday shopping, team up with your family for a scavenger hunt or just take a stroll through the festive town, Stone Harbor has an infinite amount of entertaining activities the whole family can enjoy.
Friday Festivities: Nov. 28
8:30 a.m. Breakfast with Frosty at Coffee Talk (97th St. and 3rd Ave)
10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Take a ‘Selfie with an Elfie’ Scavenger Hunt (212 96th St.)
10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Children’s snow globe making at Seashore Ace (260 96th St.)
11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Ornament Making at ‘Just Bead It’ (9631 3rd Ave)
11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Lunch with Carolers at Marabella’s (9426 3rd Ave)
1 p.m. Paw Prints Pet Parade Rain or shine
2 – 4 p.m. ‘Yappy’ Hour at The Reeds
5 p.m. The Reeds at Shelter Haven Tree Lighting Ceremony
6 p.m. Gather with Mayor Suzanne Walters and Members of Council for the lighting of the Holiday Display with 100% chance of snow (267 96th St.)
6 – 9 p.m. Merchants’ Hospitality Night
7 – 8:30 p.m. Make your own s’mores at our fire pits along 96th St.
Saturday Festivities: Nov. 29
8:30 a.m. Breakfast with Frosty at Coffee Talk (97th St. and Third Ave)
9 a.m. Gingerbread House Build Benefiting Habitat for Humanity. Building shifts are
90 min; 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1p.m. Pre-registration required.
House Tour 3:30 p.m. – 5 p.m. Stone Harbor Mall (223 96th Street)
9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Toys for Tots Continental Breakfast at Women’s Civic Club
10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Children’s snow globe making at Seashore Ace (260 96th St.)
11 a.m. -1 p.m. New Jersey Nature presents Steve and his animals with craft making
for children (207 96th St.)
11 a.m.-2 p.m. Ornament Making at ‘Just Bead It’ (9631 3rd Ave.)
11 a.m. -2 p.m. Lunch with Carolers at Marabella’s (9426 3rd Ave.)
11:30 a.m. -4 p.m. Seashore Ace: Weber Grill & Big Green Egg Cooking Demo
12 p.m.-4 p.m. Iceless Ice Skating by the Bay (322 96th St.), Human Snow Globe,
Trackless Train (211 96th Street)
1 -1:30 p.m. Magic Show on 96th St. Main Stage (212 96th St.)
1:30-3:30 p.m. Face Painting & Balloon Twisting (96th St. Main Stage)
3 -5 p.m. Photos with Santa at the Firehouse (175 96th St.)
3 -5 p.m. “Evan the Vibraphonist” will perform holiday music and sing-a-long with the kids (96th St. Main Stage)
5:45 p.m.-6:10 p.m. Performances by all-star cheerleading team, Fantasy Xtreme
(96th St. Main Stage)
6 p.m. St. Mary’s ‘Warm-up for the Parade’ – with hot chocolate (9425 3rd Ave.)
6:15 p.m. Join Our Savior Lutheran Church for Caroling under the 96th St. Clock (223 96th St.)
6:30 p.m. Christmas Parade begins at 107th St. to Third Ave; Turns onto 96th St. and ends at Beach Lot. The parade will feature award winning bands such as, the Middle Township Marching Band, Egg Harbor Township Marching Band, and the Ferko String Band, whom are perennial performers in Philadelphia’s Mummers Parade and the most successful entrant in the history of that event. Santa will visit Coffee Talk after the parade
2015 Holiday Beach Tags will be on sale throughout Island Holiday weekend at the Stone Harbor Chamber Welcome Center and at select merchants throughout Stone Harbor. They are also available for purchase now at Borough Hall Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and while supplies last.
Stone Harbor Centennial ornaments are also available for purchase at Borough Hall and the Chamber Welcome Center.
