SEA ISLE CITY – The City of Sea Isle City will host a 2011 Veterans Day Ceremony at 11:00 a.m. on Fri., Nov. 11, at Veterans Park, Landis Avenue and JFK Boulevard (also known as “Veterans Boulevard”). The solemn gathering will feature veterans from VFW Post 1963, who will be joined by Sea Isle City Mayor Leonard Desiderio and the members of City Council to honor all of America’s men and women in uniform — from the past and present.
In addition to comments from VFW Post 1963 Commander Charles Haines, the ceremony will be highlighted by patriotic hymns sung by World War II Veteran Russell Briggs, inspiring prayers from local religious leaders and words of encouragement from county and municipal officials. All residents and visitors are invited and encouraged to attend this yearly event in order to honor America’s many veterans.
