SEA ISLE CITY – On March 28, over 100 children (under age 11) and their parents attended Sea Isle City’s 2012 Easter Program at Dealy Field, an event that is hosted by Sea Isle’s Recreation Department. The yearly gathering once again featured egg hunts, “Bunny Hop” sack races, face-painters, an appearance by the Easter Bunny and plenty of family photo-ops. Each of the children in attendance also walked home with their baskets filled with treats.
Sea Isle’s Easter Program has been taking place for over 50 years. According to Nicole Holt, one of the program’s organizers, this year’s event was very successful.
“We had a tremendous turnout in spite of the weather,” said Holt. “Kids always have fun during the Easter Program, and each year we also invite parents to compete in the sack races, which adds to the fun. Sometimes it is difficult to determine who is enjoying themselves more, the children or the parents!”
