Santa and Mrs. Claus Stop by Cape May County Zoo to Visit

By Sponsored Content

COURT HOUSE – Santa and Mrs. Claus made a special appearance at the Cape May County Park and Zoo on Dec. 14, 2013. The jolly couple posed for photos as part of “Santa’s Family Workshop”, the free event sponsored annually by the Board of Chosen Freeholders. The event included crafts and education stations, entertainment and treats.
The weather did not damper the event that took place inside the Reptile House. Zoo staff and volunteers helped to make the day fun for everyone that came out to visit with Santa or take a stroll through the zoo and see the more than 500 animals that call the Cape May County Zoo home – including our new snow leopard cubs, giraffe and bison.
Freeholder Hayes said, “This free holiday event is a way for us to share the joy of the season with our residents and visitors to the Cape May County Zoo. Everyone seemed to have fun and was excited to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas.”
The Cape May County Zoo is located at 707 Route 9 North in Cape May Court House (Exit 11 off the Garden State Parkway). The free Zoo is open, weather permitting, 364 days a year – closed on Christmas Day.
