Sand Sculpting Artist Brings Holiday Cheer

STONE HARBOR – Stone Harbor Welcomes Sand Sculpture Artist John Gruber of Northfield. Gruber will be working on a holiday display beginning Nov. 16 through Thanksgiving in the center of Stone Harbor’s shopping district. The General Public is welcome to visit John through the week and see him create our “Christmas Island.” Stone Harbor will hold an official Unveiling of the Sand sculpture with Island Style Entertainment on Black Friday, Nov. 23. Entertainment for the Unveiling will begin at 5:30 with the lighting and photos ops at 6 p.m.
John Gruber has done various forms on sculpture since Age 16. He’s spent 12 years developing technical knowledge and techniques for Lenox before findings Sand as a medium. He has done various displays all over New Jersey and the world including countries like Belgium. He was commissioned by Stone Harbor in 2011 and completed a Santa Sculpture for the 2011 Island Holiday Celebration.
