Sad Christmas Turned Happy

By Elizabeth A. Shelton

Back in 1957, I was a young bride with two little girls and expecting a baby in December.
My husband was a commercial fisherman, and he was lost at sea the end of November.
I had a baby boy Dec. 16. I came home from the hospital on Dec. 23, just in time to spend Christmas with my girls. It was a sad Christmas Day, but thanks to my family and God my little girls had a happy Christmas.
Shelton writes from North Cape May.
