Children are a precious gift,
And so in our loving care
We tell them, when very young,
Their lovely gifts,
with other children they must share.
Sometimes a child will not share
their most treasured gift
that is so dear
to their heart.
We sometimes think,
“Well, you can put this precious gift away”
when your friends come over with you to play.
Are we adults any different than
the little children today?
We take God’s gifts so preciously given
and we put them away!
Sometimes they are so well hidden
We forget we have them,
and there they will stay!
Let us all take these gifts we hide so well,
And share them with friends,
So they surely
will share,
