Participants Sought for Woodbine Holiday Parade

WOODBINE – Mayor William Pikolycky invites local residents and neighboring municipalities throughout the tri-county area:
Please join in with the Borough of Woodbine in celebrating the upcoming Christmas season.
On Dec. 22 (“snowdate” Dec. 23), the Borough will be hosting its annual Christmas parade, sponsored by the Woodbine Volunteer Fire Company.
The parade will begin at 6 p.m. and line up will start at 5 p.m. on Bryant Street east of Washington Avenue.
The parade will head south on Washington to Clay Street, east on Clay to Heilprin Avenue, and north on Heilprin to DeHirsch Avenue.
It will then proceed west on DeHirsch and end up at the Woodbine Firehouse, where Santa and the Mayor will light the Christmas Tree.
The parade route is approximately 1.5 miles, and marching units are encouraged to enter.
Trophies will be awarded for: first and second place in: Best Appearing Fire Company, Best Appearing Rescue; Best Float; Best Marching Unit.
“This will be the first year for lighting our new livingtree, destined to become a showpiece on the newly renovated “bikepath island” across from the Borough Hall,” said Mayor Pikolycky.
