More than just Egg Nog for the Holidays

By Press Release

Gorman’s Wines and Spirits, 3845 Bayshore Rd. in North Cape May is a local neighborhood wine and spirits store that offers unique seasonal selections, wine suggestions and pairings as well as a few items exclusive to their store.
Besides the Grower Station, which serves ice cold micro brews on tap — an exclusive at Gorman’s — the store is also the exclusive store of Full Spirited Flavours Prosperity Liqueur Cakes.
These are liqueur infused cakes and are available in the following flavors: limoncello, chocolate razz, amaretto and mango coconut rum. They have been featured on the Rachael Ray show and make great holiday gifts.
Gorman’s proudly offers seasonal selections in a specific area in the store. The newest idea to this area is a rack dedicated to cocktail suggestions and recipes. This rack contains rows of ingredients for each cocktail so your shopping has already been done for you.
Some of the winter season cocktails include Midnight Storm made with Dekuyper White & Crème deMenthe, hot chocolate and whipped cream.
Another suggestion while waiting for Santa is the Peppermint Patty made with Jacquin’s Peppermint Schnapps and Dark Crème de Cacao, hot chocolate and whipped cream.
There is the Merry Irishman made with Jameson Irish Whiskey, Kahlua, Jacquin’s Peppermint Schnapps and a candy cane. Lastly, there is the SKYY Candy cane made with SKYY Raspberry Vodka, Jacquin’s Peppermint Schnapps and White Crème Cacao, grenadine and half and half.
You may think the holidays mean egg nog but not at Gorman’s they will make it so Santa never wants to leave your house.
The staff at Gorman’s will always be happy to assist you in your everyday and holiday wine selections. Some tips that may help you in your selection as you prepare that holiday turkey are a nice sauvignon blanc, and if red wine is what you prefer with your turkey please enjoy a pinot noir, red zinfandel or syrah.
Some may have a roast for the holiday; a hearty merlot would accompany that wonderfully. Some enjoy many varieties of fish for the holiday. If that is your desire, enjoy chilled chardonnay with your shellfishes.
A nice sauvignon blanc or Riesling will accompany the fish itself wonderfully. Just look for a Gorman’s employee, they will assist in your shopping needs.
Remember Gorman’s is your local store always striving to make your shopping experience as pleasurable as possible. We wish all our loyal customers a safe and happy holiday season.
