VILLAS – Lower Township is proud to support the US Marine Corp’s Toys for Tots program this holiday season.
The goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.
Lower Township Hall, located at 2600 Bayshore Road, is a drop off location for those wanting to send a new, unwrapped toy to a less fortunate child at Christmas. The drop off box is located in the main hallway, next to the Christmas tree.
Donations can be made during regular business hours until Dec. 19.
At Christmas, the Toys for Tots coordinators, with the assistance of local social welfare agencies, church groups, and other local community agencies, distribute the toys to the less fortunate children of the community. Over the years, Marines have established close working relationships with social welfare agencies, churches and other local community agencies which are well qualified to identify the needy children in the community and play important roles in the distribution of the toys.
If you need the assistance of the Toys for Tots program, visit the Lower Township clerk’s office in Township Hall and remember to bring identification and birth certificates of your children.
