NORTH CAPE MAY – It is a time honored tradition, as the Christmas season approaches, Cape May begins its transition into a winter wonderland and few decorations compete with the Congress Hall Christmas tree. This year’s tree was donated by local summer residents of West Cape May, Mr. and Mrs. Larry and Annette Borgia, who love Christmas at Congress Hall and are honored that their tree will be the centerpiece of celebrations this year. Workers will cut down the 30 foot Douglas Fir on Thu., Nov. 17 at 8:30 a.m. They will then transport the tree to Congress Hall, arriving around 9:30 a.m., and then hoist it up in all of its’ splendor, until about 10:30 a.m. Tree decorating will take place beginning in the morning on Fri., Nov. 18. The tree lighting will be Dec. 2.
