Symmetry Hair Salon, located at 3130 Rt. 9 South in Rio Grande is showing its appreciation for all Cape May County First Responders including Police, Fire, and EMT personnel by announcing a discount on any service at Symmetry Hair Salon when you show your First Response ID.
Symmetry is extending the offer to any immediate family members including wives/husbands and children of first responders also. First response pricing will be as follows: men’s haircuts $12 women’s shampoo and cut will be $16 and kids’ haircuts age 10 and under $10.
As part of the discount pricing plan Symmetry is also giving 10 percent off any service over $25.
“This is something that I have been planning to implement since we opened, and I am proud to finally announce it,” said Symmetry owner Mike Schultz.
According to middlepd.org, during the week of Monday, Oct. 29, thru Nov. 4, members of the Middle Township Police Department responded to or initiated (825) calls for service, averaging (117) per day.
After Hurricane Sandy, the Rio Grande Fire Department helped out when they spent four days in Beach Haven assisting the Beach Haven Fire Department as they dealt with the devastation from the superstorm.
“It’s statistics and actions like those that make us want to show our thanks and appreciation to all first responders countywide who put their own lives on the line every day to keep us safe.” said Schultz.
Schultz opened Symmetry in May of 2012 and has enjoyed watching the salon gain momentum as a local favorite. The 1,300 square foot building which is located just down the street from Winterwood Christmas shop has a modern feel, nine highly qualified stylists and great prices.
The stylist include, Amanda Carter, Katie Bryan, Kay Cee Ferguson, Donna Moffit, Michele Shaw, Donna Reidel, Christin Gregg, Samantha Boyle and Regina Baker all formerly of C Melini in Cape May Court House. The girls are happy to be a part of giving thanks to local first responders.
Rio Grande Fire Chief Richard Sweeten has also acknowledged the discount program offered at Symmetry.
“Emergency responders enjoy providing for the community and we appreciate when they respond back with such offers,” Sweeten said.
Symmetry is open 7 days a week, Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-8p.m. Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and accepts walk-ins.
