I’m secure in one fact–not the lies & half-truths;
And that always soothes.
My body is weak–age and illness have taken their toll.
I can no longer drive but I still have one goal.
As the nation seems doomed—many have fallen into traps of anger & hate;
Stop and listen to the One who’s never too late!
Of silver and gold I have little; but what I have I freely give:
There’s an old saying you can count on,
The hour is always darkest before the dawn.
So, focus toward The Light about to rise;
And remember when darkness seems to dim your eyes,
There’s one ever faithful who’s there by your side.
He’ll hold your hand–if you ask–even guide.
He’ll not force His way into your life;
He’s the Prince of Peace, not strife!
So, listen for the song the shepherds heard that night
And its message: One is come to conquer all darkness bringing light!
If you see it, you’ll know truth, mercy and peace
That the world cannot give—let your worrying cease
Only faith in truth and light can heal our nation’s ills;
Turn to the one who’s given us free will.
“Choose this day whom you will serve;” it’s your choice;
Will you believe the lies or seek His voice?
Remember, every rose has its thorns.
But, He’ll not leave true believers bleeding and torn.
He’s comforter, teacher, healer and friend;
Once found, He’ll be with you till the end.
He cannot lie! His promises are true!
Trust in Him; let them be your glue!
For, all who seek with all their souls and hearts will find,
There’s a better place to set their minds;
On things above; not the chaos below—
Remember, He still cares for the smallest sparrow.
Our nation was not birthed without pain;
Those values unknown thousands have died for we must regain!
Darkness always hates the Light,
And those who proclaim it, it will vigorously fight.
Don’t give up or give in; stop fighting each other this very hour!
Hatred only increases Darkness’ power.
We fight not flesh and blood but principalities and powers above.
Many have been infected but these can still be conquered
If we can learn to walk in Love:
Help those truly in need–not for self–glory or praise,
Remember the reason we celebrate these holidays!
I spread this truth however I can make it known,
Whether in hospital or from home.
I will spread Light reflecting the Son
