Elks Donate Food Baskets, Others Helped

By Press Release

WILDWOOD – Greater Wildwood Elks Lodge No. 1896 has donated 115 Thanksgiving baskets to those in need in the community. Due to the damage the Elks Lodge sustained in the hurricane, the organization was unsure it would be able to continue the tradition of presenting those baskets.
With benevolence from Acme Market in Court House and Manager Lou Carlino, who donated 25 Thanksgiving dinners and Frank Nolan, chief, Anglesea Volunteer Fire Co., the Elks were able to uphold the tradition.
Carlino and his staff not only donated the dinners, they also packaged them and helped load the food into the 115 baskets.
Anglesea Volunteer Fire Co. “came to the rescue” and let the Elks use their hall to assemble and distribute the baskets.
Also to be thanked is Matt McGrory who was instrumental during the assembly and distribution of the baskets, according to Lucy Broadbent.
