CAPE MAY – On Friday, Dec. 4, Congress Hall transitioned into a winter wonderland with its well-loved and time-honored traditional Christmas tree lighting ceremony. This year’s tree was donated by a Cape May Court House family, the Ziembas. Lawrence Ziemba, the principal of Lower Cape May Regional High School in Lower Township, used to work at Congress Hall. He and his wife and three children used to decorate the 25’ Blue Spruce tree that sat directly in front of their home for years, but it’s grown so big, it became too hard to reach! The Ziembas also had concerns about having such a large tree so close to their home, so they willingly donated the tree to Congress Hall, where it became the center piece of the Winter Wonderland celebration. Crews cut down the tree on Nov. 19 and hoisted it onto the Grand Lawn of Congress Hall. The Ziembas were in attendance for the official Tree Lighting Ceremony, which has become a favorite holiday event for residents and visitors.
West Cape May – The amount of TV shows airing is getting out of hand. Less movies are being produced today than ever before. Instead, people are glued to watching shows that most people never heard of.
