WALK WITH ME BESIDE THE SEA
AND FIND A CHRISTMAS MEMORY
IT MAY BE ONE OF LONG AGO
WHEN YOU GOT A SLED AND THERE WAS SNOW
OR WHEN A TALL AND LANKY GUY GAVE YOU A RING
HE SAVED TO BUY
OR WATCHING YOUR LITTLE ONES SPARKLING EYES
BECAUSE SANTA HAD LEFT A SPECIAL SURPRISE
THAT CHRISTMAS WHEN THE HOUSE WAS STILL
NO DOLLS, NO TRUCKS, NO STOCKINGS TO FILL
BUT NO ONE CAN TAKE YOUR MEMORIES
OF CANDY CANES AND CHRISTMAS TREES
REMEMBER ALWAYS THE MISTLETOE
AND THE CANDLES FLICKERING GLOW
THE SMELL OF COOKIES AND PUMPKIN PIE
AND ANGELS HOVERING IN THE SKY
WALK WITH ME BESIDE THE SEA
EACH SHELL WILL HOLD A MEMORY
